Does anyone know what size of Fan-tastic vent cover is needed to cover our Fan-tastic vents? And.. which colour is preferred?

As far as I know, vent covers for 12” fans are all the same size. They are listed by colors, not sizes.
If you don’t want any light, black.
Some light, smoke.
Lots of light, white.
I don’t think they make clear.
The rain-sensored Fan-Tastic Fans are 14”, are they not?

I purchased a roof cover for ceiling fan and it was low profile so when the lid reaches the cover the motor slowly stops
My question is is there mechanical stops for the motor or simply it stops when it cannot go anymore? Will the motor burn out from continued pushing on the cover?
