Title: Failing Rubber Cargo Door Hinges
Post by: HaydenHaven on June 27, 2021, 03:08:26 pm
The rubber hinges on the cargo doors of our 2014 Unity are failing.  We ordered new hinge material and successfully installed it on one cargo door, however we can't get it installed on the left front cargo compartment because the man door and trim around the wheel well prevent us from getting close enough to the coach to slide it on.  This is so frustrating!  We would love some tips, ideas or on a retrofit.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 2012 Unity with a failed cargo door hinge as well.  Where did you find the hinge material?
Thanks.

I don't know the answer but I suspect it will be necessary (somehow) to remove the channel above the locker door that holds the rubber hinge. I have a problem with mine due to a minor parking mishap and I'd be interested in how that channel is removed and replaced. So anyone who has this info please help.

I'm not sure how a locksmith would be helpful. This is more in the realm of bodywork. These aren't typical hinges, more a flexible rubber hanger that slides in channels both above and inside the compartment door.

I have a 2014 Unity MB, and the most rear door on the right side (passenger side) has a rubber hinge that has failed.
Can someone tell me how to order a new one and any hints on installing the new hinge?
Has anyone found that once one rubber hinge fails, others will fail soon?
Thank you,
Alexander Wrenn

The first logical place to check would be LTV in Winkler.

I replaced the whole door lock as the problem was in the lock and not in the door hinge so i asked locksmith (https://mylocksmithpro.com/) to replace the door lock.

That's odd, since it appears you are a locksmith. https://mobile.twitter.com/JElegar/status/1369580969674469377
Also noticed that in every one of your posts to this forum you recommended a locksmith.
