I am new to this Wonder van and am trying to get the key supplied by Ford to unlock the coach door. The key has a pix of motorhome unlock symbol in lower right corner . keyless entry works with door code but not with ford key. Any ideas?
2018 Wonder. My locking/unlocking procedure from the outside (without the door code feature). First, I make sure the door is closed firmly (slam). I use the round key (with black coating) to lock the actual door latch. Then press the lock button on the 3-way key which locks the dead bolt on the coach and both Ford Transit cab doors. To unlock the coach, again I use the round black-coated key to unlock the door latch. Then I use the "motorhome unlock symbol" button in the lower right corner to unlock the deadbolt to the coach. Both Transit Van doors stay locked until you hit the Transit Van unlock button above the button with the coach picture engraved on it. For the key system to work properly the door needs to be closed firmly otherwise I have to push on the key entry area on the door to unlock the deadbolt. System is a little squirrely but after 9k miles (US) I'm finally used to it. Nice at times to be able to just unlock the coach and leave the front two Van doors locked. Hope this helps.
Jeff we have a 2017 Wonder and have a hard time with the cabin door lock. How do you slam the door hard enough from the inside to lock it for the evening when retiring to bed? I have been slamming the door from outside and locking the dead bolt latch with key. Then I enter the Transit front door and lock them behind me. Now I have a secured space. We have the key less entry and will be replacing that system shortly with a Standard lock; dead bolt and latch lock. I hope with the Standard lock I can pull the door closed enough from the inside to engage the latch lock.
Try replacing the solenoid of the lock and if still, the problem arises, contact a locksmith (https://www.themonkeylocksmiths.com/) for help.
i used dry silicone to lubricate all the moving and sliding over parts. Look for one that has PTFE on the label.
I have seen where you add (screw) a 1" nylon strap so you have something to pull with. Convenience Modifications to Unity | Page 19 | Sprinter-Source.com (https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/39263/page-19#lg=post-1177987&slide=1)
The key system isn't easy to handle, a professional car keys replacement (https://www.locallocksmithllc.com/) expert is needed to understand it.
