Title: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Post by: MikesIRV on January 15, 2022, 05:39:59 pm
Does anyone have a recommendation for a particular TPMS?  Accuracy, ease of installation and set up are important as well as sending units that have replaceable batteries.

I did some research and decided upon TST.  I found this site to have useful information that helped me to invest in this safety system:  https://www.technorv.com/monitoring-your-tires

We patiently await our '22 Unity, but I'll be ready to install my sensors on the '21 Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis that - surprisingly - does not include a TPMS.

Thanks, I will be taking delivery of my '22 Unity MB on Friday.  I too am surprised that MB doesn't include it as  a standard safety feature.  Are you going to extend the inner valve stem  to make installation and airing up easier?

If you have the alcoa wheels with the metal stems the TST-507 without the extensions will work if you leave them alone and use the system as a warning of major failure you do not need the flow through sensors
if you are going to be "playing" with getting your tire pressure "correct"  all the time you will want the Borg kit or the flow through sensors

Thanks for the info.  I want the tpms only as a warning system,
