Title: Unity Awning
Post by: John Twitchell on September 03, 2022, 10:48:13 am
My new (to me) 2015 Unity didn't have a manual for the awning, and I now realize that if the awning motor dies, I don't know how to retract the awning manually. Suggestions, please? What make and model awning is it, and I'll try to get the manual from the factory.

Try going to the LTV site and registering on MyLTV with your serial numbers. If successful, the dashboard will show you what specific equipment was originally installed in your coach as well as links to manuals and a bunch of other stuff.

As mentioned above best to register to myLTV.  It is likely a Carefree Freedom model similar to the 2016 I have.

Our awning is a Carefree. Once I discovered that, it was a quick step to the website to download the manual. Retracting for a dead motor (not extending) is as simple as putting a ratchet in the square recess at the forward end of the roll, and cranking it up.
