How does the solar panel on the roof (2019 Unity) 2 100 w panels connect to the charger? Is there a wire up there and where does it go and how is it connected. I have not been on the roof and can't get up there but have someone who can. Thanks in advance for help. We are getting batteries charged from outside source and will start from there.
Solar connects to your Solar Control Charger, probably a GoPower some where in an upper cabinet. From there wires goes to charge your house batteries, it dos not charge your starting battery.
Two panels are sufficient to maintain your batteries if they were fully charged when you put the rv in storage. If they are not charging, you may have a blown fuse, in line the from controller to batteries. Usually located behind the batteries, requiring their removal to check that fuse.
To check if your are getting voltage from the panels, remove the GoPower panel & with a multi meter check to see if you are getting voltage from the wires coming from the panel. Off course while in sun.
Don't know if this would apply, but our brand new 2022 Unity RL came with two defective batteries. Don't know how old your LTV is but it bears checking out.
