Title: Newbie Ready to Jump In....
Post by: dpotts421 on May 10, 2019, 09:55:44 am
My wife and I (plus Winnie, our golden retriever) are very close to jumping into an RV so we can get out there. We have been studying the RV options for a couple years... we ere just about convinced to go with an Airstream trailer... then my wife came across the LTV product. Is anyone will to share some pros and cons of the LTV option. I like not having to also pick out a tow vehicle to pull a trailer. Does anyone tow a small vehicle with their LTV? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all!

Never owned a tow trailer, so can’t comment, but with RVs we almost always towed a car.
Now with a Wonder FTB we tow a 2007 Honda Fit  It is light and easy to tow.  We find it very convenient to have a car when we we feel like taking off.  No Uber calls, rent car pick ups.
Each to his own, try and see what you like.

We tow a Honda CRV on some occasions, our Unity pulls it with no problem.

On other trips we don't tow anything and just take the Unity to wherever we go.  I look at the Unity and figure it can fit anyplace a UPS truck can go, at least as a mental check point :D.  The Unity is a lot of fun to drive and we have not found it difficult to get in to various locations.

We use to tow with our larger motor home, 38'. We have the LTV Wonder and to date have seen a need to tow anything. The Leisure Van is a pleasure to drive and have found it easy to maneuver. Some city parking is easier with the toad/car but we have
 not seen a need yet.
