Wonder / Sumo springs for 2022 Wonder 24FTB
Last post by Thomas Stone -
Has anyone installed rear Sumo springs in their Wonder Van?  If so, what are your observations and opinions about their performance, in particular related to reducing sway in strong side winds?

Ours is a 2022 24FTB.  Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Unity / Re: Sealants
Last post by Spuds Rv -

Generally just the roof penetrations, skylight, fan, ladder points, etc.  Around all of those you will find a moat of sealant that covers the edge of the part and its screw heads.  You just want t make sure its not gone missing or very badly cracked.

There are two kinds of sealant that may have been used.  The first is  Amazon.com: Dicor 501LSW-1 HAPS-Free Self-Leveling Lap Sealant for horizontal... , this can be freshened by just adding some more Dicor over it.

If however its a Silicone based one like Amazon.com: HENG'S Industries 95502 Self-Leveling Silicone | Great for... then you would have to completely remove and redo as nothing sticks to Silicone, but its rare for that to ever fail.

You can tell what you have by picking at a small section, the Dicor will lift/tear a bit but the Hengs will not

All the caulking seams on the roof needs checking, edge seams, roof penetration seams, etc.
I use Dicor self leveling caulking.

LTV Discussion / Re: Bike racks
Last post by Todd W -
THULE is over priced and the aluminum they use still has corrosion issues just like metal. I had one and my bike rocked loose and dragged for awhile. Most bike racks are a rip off. Here is a link to the one I use and I can carry 3 electric bikes. We are closing our bike shop down but still have about 100 racks left and a few bikes.

Unity / Bedding - Unity Corner Bed
Last post by Plunda -
We have purchased the Aurora CB sheets for the new 2025 Unity but does anyone use the cover that came with the Corner Bed as a blanket or have you all removed it and purchased something else? It seems a bit stiff to use as an actual blanket.

Unity / Re: Install rear view camera

If you're concerned, disconnect the battery neg. There's a user disconnect to the right of the gas pedal behind the center console access door. Should be able to find how in  the owner's manual since it is a common procedure to keep the battery from discharging during storage.

BTW, I just tucked my camera wires behind the rubber door seals going up the A pillar then across the top of the windshield and down to the mirror. Not totally invisible but not obvious either.

Unity / Install rear view camera

I have a 2022 Unity LTV RTB on a 2021 MB. I purchased a rearview camera that clicks on the current OEM mirror. I wand to hide the wires for the camera in the headliner but with the A post airbag I am concerned that the air bag could go off if I remove the A post cover. Any suggestions

Unity / Re: Cabin lights and water pump won't come on

If this is on the firefly system, have you tried turning on the lights and water pump from the touchscreen?  The switches themselves are all wireless, so it’s possible the batteries are dead and/or they need to be re-paired with the system.  If they work with the touchscreen that’s the likely culprit.  If you don’t get a little green light on the keypads when you hit a button, that’s a good indication the batteries are dead.  I think they are just regular CR2032 if I remember right.

It doesn’t sound like the inverter since the tv, etc runs fine.

Unity / Cabin lights and water pump won't come on
Last post by feiock -
This is a 2022 Unity RL.  I am helping my in-laws de-winterize it, and found the coach lights, overhead fans, and the water pump would not turn on.  Other components such as the slide out stairs and the Firefly touch screen for controlling the coach would turn on no problem.  I then tried connecting to external power as well as running the generator.  With both, I was able to power on the TVs, DVD player, etc. but the same 3 items (coach lights, overhead fans, and water pump) would not power up, so power in general is working ok, but there is something specific to these items whether on battery power or on shore/generator.

This RV has the Freedom XC Pro Inverter, and in troubleshooting, I found something that is probably related.  While on battery power, when I power on the inverter using the button on the front, it will power on for about 8-10 seconds, and the power off.  When it powers off, I can hear an audible click coming from my right when facing it (near the shower), so it sounds like a breaker is tripping or similar, but the breaker box is in the opposite direction, and when I check, I haven't found any tripped breakers.  When the RV is connected to shore power or on the generator, then the Inverter powers up and works/displays as expected.

My father-in-law had some electrical issue in the past (hard to tell if it was the same thing), but he called the place he bought it from and they had him go through the steps he refers to as the "G-12 problem".  He described this to me as taking off a panel in the bathroom that is inset in the shelf on the right as you walk in, and there are a number of plugs.  There is a specific one that you need to unplug and leave disconnected for 15 min.  I assume this is hard resetting the inverter based on other posts I read.  I also read that sometimes it takes several hours for this process to take, so I left it disconnected last night (12 hours), and tried again this morning, and no dice.

Has anyone come across this, and if so, any suggestions?
