Change rear backup camera to “always on”

Has anyone been able to modify the backup camera that engages only in reverse to always on if running lights are on? (2022 Unity U24MB on 2021 Mercedes Chasis)

from my research it can't be done.  I pull a toad and added a small wireless camera that stays on all the time that the headlights are on since I wired the power thru the liscense plate light.
I agree it would be a great improvement just to use the Mercedes camera.

Not possible.  It part of the firmware in the MB system.  In Europe, they consider it a distraction and a safety issue.  I put a HaloView system in with the screen that goes over the rear view mirror….couldn’t be happier.  System also has dash cam and rear view cam …
