Unity / 2017 unity with bubbles in the paint after winter storage
Last post by Rnswerd@telus.net -
Hi everyone I’m new to the group. My wife and I purchased our 2017 unity last September.  The paint was in excellent condition and after storing the unit in our drive way with a Adco cover that was used every winter from new we have now discovered many little bubbles all over the paint.  The bubbles are on the fiberglass body and the metal hood.  Any ideas what would cause this ?

Here are some pictures.

Thanks for your help and info.
Rob.

LTV Discussion / Re: Faucet water is foamy after de-wintering
Last post by RonS -
I follow the instructions and by pass hot water tank. I am assuming that when I de winterize antifreeze is push into fresh water tank. For future reference how do I prevent this?
In my 2021 user manual under Winterization, it shows two methods after the part about draining the water system.
Step 12 "At this point, you can continue the winterizing process by either adding plumbing anti-freeze to the system, or blowing out the airlines. See below for the process on each."
You only do one or the other method. They both are acceptable, but if you use the pink RV antifreeze, you need to carefully flush the water system with fresh street water, and repeatedly fill and flush the fresh water tank to get rid of any residual antifreeze. It is not poison but you shouldn't drink or cook with it unless you have thoroughly flush the tank and all the water lines.
I have a Truma water heater and you are correct that you need to bypass it when winterizing since the antifreeze can corrode the heater. BTW, there is no hot water tank with the Truma.

I don't see it in my manual, but it is a good idea when de-winterizing to ingest a small amount of diluted bleach into the tank, then proceed with the normal fill/flush. This both sanitizes the fresh water tank & lines, and kill any algae in the system. Again you want to repeatedly fill and flush the tank/lines since you don't want to be drinking it.

...water is super foamy. There is no pick color in the water.
From the above I assume the RV was winterized by ingesting RV antifreeze into the fresh water tank. If you do that you should flush the tank (and the entire fresh water system) multiple times before using the water. There will always be a small amount of the old water left in the tank. Be sure to also flush out the other water lines. The foaming will eventually be depleted.

Just de winterized my Unity and water is super foamy. There is no pick color in the water. Put new water filter under bathroom sink. Made sure everything is tightened. Can’t find any leaks either.
Any suggestions

Wonder / 2025 Wonder RL - Main Door Issues - Air/Hard to close
Last post by VFIVaco -
I have a 2025 Wonder RL and the main entrance door has to be slammed to close it fully and get it latched.  And I've only had it a year, and I still hear major road noise coming thru that fully locked and closed door,

Has anyone else had latching problems with your Wonders?  I feel that I originally did not have air leakage during driving and now I do, very disappointed owner here...

Let me know if you experienced that yet and any suggestions...

Thanks.....

Wonder / Re: Wonder shower head drip
Last post by dfredenburg -

Our 2016 Unity had an issue not as much with drip but the  temp would be off when you released the value (that being when your were taking a Navy shower).  I put in some values from Amazon that took care of our problem and could be effective in dealing with the drip: Shower Head Water Shut Off Valve - Pair Pack - Large Button - Water Flow regulator for Shower Hose or Bidet Sprayer - Bathroom & Kitchen water valve (Polished Chrome)  Shower Head Water Shut Off Valve - Pair Pack - Large Button - Water Flow...

Unity / Re: HDMI Cables
Last post by dfredenburg -
Not sure if the same pathways but the 2016 IB Unity has a cabinet behind the drivers seat (top left of stove row of cabinets) with a console for TV and DVD connections. I discovered this when I found the HDMI couplers were pulled apart by the previous owners.  I was unable to string new cables so I had to (microscopically) replace each of the wires to a new coupler.  The HDMI cables entered from that cabinet and headed off to the DVD player/radio and the TVs in the galley and bedroom.  Can show pics if that would help.

Wonder / Wonder shower head drip
Last post by Lee -
After the seond year of ownership of our 2023 FTB Wonder, the shower head would drip after use - even with the water pump off. Recently when we had the RV in for another small issue, the technician asked if we wanted to fix it. The dealer had told me that "all of them drip" and the solution was to release the pressure in the water line by turning on the sink faucet. The tech said "bulls***" and offered to fix it. Since our extended warranty covered the fix, we said OK. The valve is made by Grohe. The technician installed the valve but there is a plastic part that inserts into the center of the valve and the Grohe instructions say to leave that plastic part out after winterization and install back in during the dewinterization process. There is nothing in the Wonder winterization instructions that cover this. This would require you to remove the shower handle and cover plate to get access. Has anyone else experienced this?

LTV Discussion / Re: Bike rack cover
Last post by Lee -
We own a Hollywood rack. Our cover (made by Pro Bike Tool) kept coming loose on one of our trips because I think I kept putting it on wrong.... so I took it off. We were in Utah and at one campsite, we found that dust and sand had gotten into the small control unit to turn on the power. I spent several hours online and finally found a solution that required popping the control unit apart to clean it. After that, I decided to look for a better solution and I believe it is the Formosa e-bike cover from Amazon. If you read the reviews, one person did an in-depth review and recommended a cargo net to go with the cover to make sure it stays in place. I haven't bought it yet - waiting for our next long trip.
